splitfox is an app that lets you easily split a bill and track shared expenses — all locally, no account needed.
Do I need to register?
No, splitfox works completely locally and does not require an account.
Where are my data stored?
All data is stored in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to any server. They will be available even after closing the browser.
Are my data safe?
Settlement data is stored locally and is not encrypted. Anyone with access to your device and browser profile may be able to read it.
Can I have more than one bill?
No, the app supports only a single bill instance. All information is displayed in one view.
How does bill splitting work in splitfox?
splitfox automatically splits the bill among selected people, showing the amount each person owes.
Can I export or share the bill?
The current version does not yet support exporting or sharing a settlement.
What happens if I clear my browser data?
If you clear your browser data, your information will be lost. We do not send it to any server.
Does splitfox work on mobile devices?
splitfox is a PWA — you can save it and open it like an app on your phone or computer.
Does the app require internet to work?
After the first visit, SplitFox can work offline as a PWA. Internet access is required for the initial page load.
Can I change the bill currency?
Yes, the app supports common currencies: PLN, EUR, USD, GBP. You can change the currency in settings.
Can I print the bill?
You can print the current view using your browser's print feature.
Does the app save the history of previous bills?
No, splitfox does not save previous bills. It always works on a single bill instance.
